Sport & Exercise Psychology Consultancy

What is sport & exercise psychology?

Sport and exercise psychology is the study of how psychology impacts sport and athletic performance, physical activity, and exercise.

Sport & exercise psychologists work with a range of people including athletes, officials, coaches and more to help these individuals and teams cope with the demands of their job.  The aim is to address sport performance from a mental/psychological standpoint.

It is a relatively new field from which many sporting professionals and amateurs currently benefit.

Who is it for?

Any individual or team involved in sport or exercise looking to improve their sport performance whether at the amateur, professional, or any level in between.

It is a chance to step away from the physical side of things and spend time working on the mental and physical demands of your sport.

Topics can include, but are not limited to: motivation, coping with pressure, self-confidence, team dynamics, overcoming injury, focus and more.

If this sounds like something you are interested in, please don't hesitate to get in contact or book a consultation.

How the process works

The process begins with an initial free consultation.  This enables me to understand what is going on for you as well as your goals.  It also allows you to see if Define Strength Performance is a good fit for you.

During the consultation, we would map out how working together may look going forward and decide the best plan of action for you.

Any questions you may have including cost, frequency of sessions, and methods of support will be covered.

Who am I?

I am a Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training (SEPiT) undertaking the Sport and Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route (SEPAR) through the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).  This is the final stage before becoming a chartered sport and exercise psychologist in the UK.

I graduated from the university of Greenwich in 2018 with an MSc in Psychology (Conversion) and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology.

My background in sports includes basketball and weightlifting, but I have interests spanning across multiple sports.  I have a genuine passion for sport and exercise performance and would love to work together to help you with yours.
